Duration at Intersections, Culture Lab, 29-30th March 2012. Part of AV Festival.

Wonderful to hear Neville Gabie speak about his work Great Lengths at the Olymic Park. Such a gentle response to place and community, connecting the otherwise unconnected.

Mary Patterson on Encounter, Kent

Janey Hunt presented a fascinating study into “the socially engaged artist as environmental change agent”, particularly interesting comparision of Ballard and Matarasso.

James Layton on slowness and self-actualisation, reflecting on time and space; “peak experiences” and the transient; ritual vs. ceremony in transformation.

Lovely to meet Barbara Lounder and walk through a city I know so well with letterpress printing walking sticks! Exciting to hear about a travelling letterpress van in Nova Scotia!
